Hauptwerk: Based on the FREE, open source Ourorgan (Grand orgue) Project, an very old open source US academic project. Extended by Martin Dyle in the UK. Then extended by Martin in the US. Renamed "HAUPTWERK" by Milan...
I have the historic SOURCE CODES...
Very good, worldwide spread virtual pipe organ.  Very good soundbanks, with attack and decay. Needs a huge PC tower, gigabytes memory, and is not free. Professional version : 1500$ for public performance.
Frequently from 28 to 64 gigabytes by soundbank. (24 bits samples)
Very complex Organ Description files (ODF). As for Grand Orgue (GO or Our Organ).
Complex installation, needs huge PC configurations... GigaBytes of memories...

MY ORGAN /Grand Orgue/GO : free, giving similar capabilities, with also relatively complex ODF.
Many free sound libraries are available with MyOrgan/Grand Orgue.

MY_ORGAN/Grand Orgue can easily run on very small PC's. Even on MINI-ITX or NUC motherboards.
With only 4GO RAM.
Largely sufficient for a large majority of pipe organs with more than 60 stops.

JORGAN : Interesting VPO. One can define its own visual interface

I designed for HW, GO and any VPO software several Encoder cards, which can be directly connected to any ancient or recent keyboard.
A simple USB connector is needed for connecting to any PC or MAC.
You can also aussi order a virtual organ with 1 à 5 keyboardss and pedalboard, transportable.
Or MIDI boards, using fast 32 bits microprocessors.

ORGANTECH :
New virtual organ software based on sound synthesis :
ADVANTAGE : very fast installation.
BUT : you can't choose the organ sound bank you want !!!
Good ration Price/quality.
But largely less interesting than My Organ in terms of number of different sound banks !
 Free harpsichord or piano sound banks are also available.
